#TOOP 4 Conference
The 4th National Scientific and Technical Conference „Trends in Lightning and Surge Protection” TOOP#4 continues a three-year initiative integrating scientific, engineering, and individual communities, and promotes good practices for protection against the effects of lightning discharges. Thanks to the participation of speakers, the support of exhibitors, and the audience, the SEP Polish Lightning Protection Committee has become a permanent fixture in the technical events calendar. We want this unique initiative to become even more attractive to electrical engineers, as well as current and future generations of scientists. Through our activities, we aim to create a platform enabling the free exchange of experiences and research results between representatives of the academic, scientific, and industrial communities. We believe that participation in the conference, combined with the publication of papers on the design and operation of effective lightning and surge protection systems, will not only be a source of knowledge but also support the professional development of individuals, especially young people, interested in this topic.
The conference aims to explore issues related to contemporary lightning and surge protection measures. The conference is intended to provide a forum for exchanging views and discussing the challenges posed by modern science and technology. The idea is also to expand cooperation between the academic, scientific, and industrial communities. In addition to the scientific aspect, the conference will feature theoretical and practical workshops on the design and implementation of lightning and surge protection systems.
The conference is intended for:
- academics from technical universities and research and development centers
- representatives of energy companies
- representatives of manufacturing companies
- importers and distributors
- designers
- representatives of construction and installation companies
- individuals responsible for securing buildings and facilities, electrical installations, telecommunications installations, renewable energy sources, and electronic systems
