New editions of competitions for young architects and designers
We invite you to participate in two competitions: Loft – before and nowdays and Lamp in a geometric image
The competitions are aimed at students of art faculties as well as young designers and architects. Their goal is to inspire the treatment of light as an important element of shaping architectural space and interest in LED technology and its possibilities in the field of creating luminaires and lighting systems. We count on creativity and a variety of ideas.
The competition is organized by the Polish Lighting Industry Association in cooperation with the organizer of the 29th International Trade Show of Lighting Equipment and the Silesian architectural community.
The task of the LOFT Competition – before and nowdays is to develop a loft design with innovative functional solutions, taking into account current trends and in accordance with the principles of architectural art. An important role in the project is also to play the analysis of the impact of natural, natural and artificial light on the character and space of the loft, to create a loft style or climate in it.
A LAMP in a geometric version is a competition for a creative design of a lighting fixture. The subject of the competition work is to design a lighting device in a geometric form. It can be the entire lighting system, as well as one luminaire with an innovative function and geometric form.
Competition applications are accepted only electronically, using the WeTransfer service.
Projects should be sent to the Competition Secretary’s e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org by 22.12.2021
The application form and competition regulations are available at www.lightfair.pl in the competitions tab.
Participation in competitions is a way to discover the creative potential and promote young people with passion, for whom playing with form, space and matter is a challenge and a field to make their dreams come true. A very important task of the competitions is to initiate contacts between young designers and Polish lighting manufacturers. We would like these contacts to develop into various forms of cooperation with the dynamically developing Polish lighting industry.
The winners of both competitions will receive cash and material prizes, and the works of the finalists will be presented at the post-competition exhibition during the 29th International LIGHT Fair on January 26-28, 2022 in Warsaw.
